University of Mount Union | Hoover Price Campus Center
The Hoover Price Campus Center renovation project involved a major addition and renovation to a 1950’s modern building. It was built of red brick, accented with blue glazed brick, single glazed curtain wall and an exterior with the simplicity of an earlier era. Given the last 20 years of architectural dialogue, the Hoover Price building was totally out of context with the surrounding campus. A “wrap around addition” was conceived to match the more traditional and more historical architecture of Mount Union College. The red brick, L-shaped addition contains all of the new facilities while eliminating the modernist facades and glazed brick past.
