Indiana University of PA | Elkin Hall Renovations
Celli-Flynn Brennan was hired by Indiana University of PA to renovate Elkin Hall, a five-story dormitory building constructed circa 1963, to become the Center for Multicultural Student Leadership and Engagement.
Renovations to the first floor include offices and work spaces for the Multicultural Affairs and Student Life staff; student work areas consisting of conference rooms, work rooms; shared common space including the multipurpose room, student lounge restrooms, reception area, conference rooms and other support spaces. The renovations of the dormitory seek to maximize daylighting, improve visibility and openness, and provide a welcoming space for student and staff interaction.
The project is currently in construction and when completed will achieve the University’s goal to enhance student life and multi-cultural programs, promote student interactions to develop diverse perspectives, enhance program colocation synergies, and provide expansion capability.
